About the artwork:

This painting is about breaking free and letting out the inner beast.  I picked the actor Fred Astaire from the 1940’s since his look to me represented an old way of life where everything was perfectly choreographed but not always authentic.  Then add a layer of transition and the duality of modern day culture where people are divided by the system.  There is a system (Hollywood) within the larger system (colonial capitalist Amerikkka).
